DRT, severed the spine, had a hugh softball size bulge on the exit side. Tried to recover the projectile from the dirt and was unable to, it was buried pretty deep.

The Situation:

An 8 point popped his head out from behind a pine at 65 yards and walked into the field. Shot was a couple inches lower than my POA, I did not account for the fact that I was shooting from 15 feet in the air. Complete pass through with a half dollar sized exit wound behind the opposite shoulder. Upon field dress found that the left lung was clipped, ventricles ruptured and right lung was jellied.

Ran about 15 yards and fell down.
