I think the 120-123gr class bullets have such a monumental lead on the game-dropping statistics, we need a high volume varminter for other bullets to catch up.
Not really difficult to understand, considering what the good Bc does to performance.

Unique! Read about it, but never seen it so dramatic in slow cartridges. Seen similar in 243.

What to say at this stage? The 6,5 Grendel plain works...

Yeah, the elbow shot was one of the weirder shots I have made. The humerus was broken just above the distal condyles (where the bone connects with the radius and ulna). There was an entry wound there, but no exit. All I can figure is that it was really just a ricochet. Tissue up the arm, under the skin, was torn up. When we skinned open the ribs, we found the hole blasted into the ribs and then the destroyed heart inside. The bullet never exited, but not sure where it went, exactly. We found only a couple small pieces of jacket.

                    Okay, now for 2015 hogs...

Y'all are kind, but I was just trying to help, LOL.

Maybe I can add a data point or two more after Wednesday, which will be the last hunt of the year for me.

I am just glad folks can use the information. I had it kept in various forms (notes, pics, vids) and it took a while to sort through. It goes back to November 2013 and only includes critters I confirmed that I put down and doesn't include critters shot multiple times (either by me or team-shot).

I am happy with the performance of factory Hornady SST 123 gr. ammo. :-)

Maybe when Roe gets all the data together, he can break it down by animal type - deer, hog, bobcat, coyote, cottontail, etc.

                            Hi Roe,
Thanks for collecting this data and putting it in a great format. Please add the numbers in red to your current tally in the appropriate table cells. e.g. the 100 yd, zero run distance would now equal 32+9 = 41. I figured that this would be the quickest way to communicate my data. The numbers are not perfect, but I captured the outlying data points and I think the general distribution reflects my experience. I also added the bullet weight distribution for 100 TTSX, 120 NBT, and 123 SST.
                            Thanks,
                            PA
