What hunting bullet would you like to see tested on hogs?

We will be conducting some more terminal ballistics testing on hogs as a joint effort, with most of the groundwork already laid down.

We already have a lot of really good hunting field results, with the 123gr SST being pretty much the go-to bullet, and we are also testing some other projectiles.

So what bullets would you like to see?

    Poll is multiple choice.

GSCustom 86 gr -- should be as effective as the 123gr SST.

I'm curious how the Nosler 100 grain partition would do along with the Sierra 120 grain Prohunter soft points. I'm also curious about the 110 grain PPU FMJ and the Wolf 100 grain FMJ. A lot of shooters in Texas are using 5.56 M-193 and 7.62 X 39 123 grain FMJ. I think the 6.5 Grendel FMJ should work, the 6.5 Grendel FMJ yaw pretty quick.

That's what I want proof of. I only saw one grainy picture of a gel test.

I agree. The Wolf FMJ is the cheapest round for the 6.5G. I have hunted with the 123gr SST and have had great results, but I really want to see some of the LeHigh Controlled Chaos. I would buy the first 10 boxes off of the shelves.... if they made it for 6.5G. Also the Maximum Expansion!

If this experiment comes to fruition, with different Hunting Bullets. I'd be willing to donate funds or something to see results.

I'd like see broad side, heart, lung shots at 150+ yards with any of the mono bullets. I'd also like to see good clean kills so please use your discretion in taking the shots

120 gr Sierra Pro Hunter and PRVI 120 gr HPBT. The PRVI for accuracy as well.

I don't understand the "LOL" there. Looks like two different weights of pills, and no justification for sarcasm as near as I can tell.

Well, the LOL is on me. The link button from the search had 95 gr. but it switched to 120 at Hornady. Interesting.

However, the simple solution is to just ask Hornady, which I have done.

Yea I found info on the 120s. Nothing on 95s. My fault for using the forum for trying to gather info from peers. I'll contact hornady for it.

The 95gr GMXs were cut down by Sneakyone from the 120gr GMX, which he has used on deer in MN.

That's why I labeled it experimental.
