First season with the Grendel....It's a performer

With all the this's and that's and especially the what not's I've read about this cartridge and especially bullet selection I shot 4 deer this year and found 3 of them using the 6.5 Grendel .First was at 200 yards with 100 gr A-max and it went maybe 10 steps .Second was 325 yards with a 95 gr V-max and again it went maybe 10 steps .Third and forth where at 225 yards and one went prolly 25 steps and I did not find the forth ,could of been bad bullet placement on my part ,could be the V-max is not the BEST selection on deer sized game but either way the 6.5 Grendel is a solid performer in my book and a welcome change after shooting 223 chambered ar-15's for 25 yrs.
Already looking forward to next years bullet selection's and load's and pretty amazed at the rifle's 500 yard "simplicity."

Yeah, I would use bullets meant for medium game at that distance, something in the 100gr-130gr class, like a 123gr ELD-M, 123gr AMAX, 123gr SST, 129gr SST, or 129gr ABLR.

If you like to use lighter bullets try the 100 ttsx. I've used them with great success.
