Thanks guys,yes it is pretty cool alright.I didn't weigh him but a friend of mine that has hunted lots of cats figured he was at least 150 lbs.
When I skinned him out I was amazed at all the fat on him.He was in very good condition.I was told a cougar may kill a deer a week.

Friend of mine killed and ate a bobcat here in Texas. Said it wasn't bad eating.

I don?t know if I?d ever try it but I?ve heard cougars/mountain lions/puma are good eating. Any truth to people eating lion meat?


I?ve seen cougars in my neighborhood and I always try to be careful when going out, especially at night.

My brother has tried it before. He and a buddy got a cougar in Utah last year. they split the meat between them and he said it is pretty good. I haven't tried it myself yet.

I didn't try eating the cat He is now wolf bait.If you could smell the dead moose he was eating you might not want to eat him either.
He had lots of fat on him when I skinned him out and the meat looks good.I have other game in my freezer.

My mom-in-law was served cat burgers by a neighbor who was a big hunter. She said that they were ok, but a bit on the dry side. Then when she realized she was eating cat, she had a hard time.

Never had any myself. Dry? There's bacon and ketchup for that. Eating a cat? No problems here.
