The wind was not my friend on the two properties where I shot. On the first, I watched a coyote work his way through the cattle and eventually downwind of me. He never figured out the threat and got popped after he moved into a safe direction.
The second property had the hogs a couple hundred yards in from the front gate and security lights by the house, so I tried an approach well to the east of them hoping the wind would not be an issue. It appeared to have been and the bigger hogs took off as I tried to move into a favorable position. The younger hogs were slow to move, but they headed to go off property as well. When they stopped on the way out, I managed to drop a 50 pounder at 240 yards.
