CD17,
what's your desired weight target? scoped or irons? budget? how much "build" are you looking to do? from a total bag of parts or are you looking for, like an assembled upper or an assembled lower? what range do you anticipate your hunting shots to be? intended game?
otherwise that is a totally open ended question.
thx,

Crafted from 416R stainless steel, this 16 inch 6.5 Grendel barrel is the pinnacle of value. All of our barrels are manufactured in-house in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Odin light weight profile barrel is 1 pound 10 ounces but uses an intermediate gas port location.

This AA was just posted for sale today. This is pretty close to what your looking for. You could easily swap out the hand guard but this is a good price. I have no affiliation just saw it for sale.
Upper has less than 60 rounds fired and functions 100% with factory and custom loads. Upper clean and in excellent condition. With minimal testing this rifle shot an average of 1-1.5 MOA with both factory and hand loads. Might do a little better with a good trigger and load development, but 1-1.5 MOA was all I needed for

Ultimate build? A light-weight Pin and Weld 14.5" with light handguards.
Aa nice 3rd party trigger,
and a light Hogster Thermal (personally, I consider a Hogster the same as a Pulsar in quality and function, at half the price and half the weight). That, or I personally love the Primary Arms 2.5X CQB as an excellent light weight general purpose low power optic, that you can take game with to 200 yards easily all day.
I'd run it 1/8 twist. For muzzle device, either a suppressor Quick Detached muzzle device mount, or a Bravo Co GunFighter Mod 1 brake (.30 cal brakes work fine). Personally, I'm not as sold on supressors and consider them more cost, effort, bulk, and legality than I want to mess with, but lots of people do love them. Personal choice.
And run it on a magnesium lower, ifyou want to cut the weight even more. Just... keep a conventionally stripped aluminum lower around too.... Just in case.
That will be a handy lightweight rig you can hump around all day. And without any NFA conversations needing to be involved.
Just my opinion4x P100
