    Hog Down Finally

Have been out every night for almost two months without seeing a hog. Good that they are not "plowing" up the pastures,,but I needed something to shoot ! . Caught this sow stealing corn at a deer feeder.
Shooting off the top strand of a barbed wire fence is not the steadiest platform, but it worked. She was quartering away to the right. Shot hit near the jaw and exited the throat on opposite side. ??? Maybe she moved at the instant I shot? I usually aim between the shoulder and ear area, but as long as they are drt I'm happy.

That was just about a perfect shot on that boar!

We are not seeing nearly as many hogs out in the open right now, either, and I suspect it is a due to lack of rain which comes with the hardening of the ground. Of course, the acorns falling now isn't helping get the hogs out of the woods, either.
