Haven't posted in a while, but here I am. Thought this one was worthwhile.
Was hunting out of a blind on a cliff overlooking the Colorado River. I'd been seeing this huge boar on trail camera intermittently for 2 months. Never in day light.
Approx. 15min after dark, through my NVG', I spotted that very same boar walking down a trail beside the river and stop. Using a red light, I was able to take a 120 yard shot across the river while he was quartering away. First time using AA loaded 120gr Nosler BT's (they group amazing out of my 18" JP). He ran approx. 20 yards and folded in a mud bank leaving a decent blood trail. He taped in at 255lbs.
