You should have some 127 LRX on hand for the shots inside 150 yards. Save those ABLR for the long-range shots they are intended for.

I have been hunting with the 129 ablr for several years and your results is typical. Did you recover the projectile? Those are soft tip and you are pushing it pretty hard.

I have shot them into water jugs out of a creedmore with MV 2810 and 100yds at 2642 fps impact, left about 73 grains remaining. It was a very violent impact however. If I could recommend a different shot placement at anything less than 100yds it would be a neck shot. Killed a buck at 125 yds using a 12.7 inch grendel and it never twitched a muscle. I did have a spine hit at 75 yes that wasn't a pass thru. I was a little surprised at that.

Congratulations, that is a nice deer!

1 gallon milk jugs. It stopped in the 5th jug. First three jugs were blown completely up. The 129 ABLR is the most accurate bullet I shoot out of my Grendel.

5 jugs is pretty awesome. I think the only bullets I ever had do 6 jugs were a 160 partition and 140 TSX out of a 7mm Rem Mag. Pretty sure a 180 partition and 200 accubond out of my 30-06 and a 200 NBT out of my .338 Win Mag only did 5 jugs.
