My newish Grendel got its first pig on Friday evening. Shot was about 135 to 140 yards trotting away. I did not have as much confidence in the shot as I would like due to quick detach scope mounts. This is the first time I have used quick detach mounts and I did not know how well they would work after a previous shooting session. Turns out, they worked at least well enough to be minute of pig. Went to look the next morning and not much was left but a half a rib cage and some legs.
I have shot many pigs in the past, but this was the first with my Grendel. So, at least for me, it was fun. It was nothing huge, maybe 60 to 70 pounds.
