Did not connect with deer today, but had a good sized jackrabbit jump out and stop 20 feet away. Figured why not, so I guessed at the POA adjustment to go from a 200 yard sight in to a 20 foot shot. Hit the jack in the top of the shoulder in a quartering away shot and somehow did not have the bullet hit the neck. Considering this is a close range shot at an 8 or 10 pound animal, I was pleased with the modest amount of damage done. Made a 1 inch mess and I lost the top of the one shoulder, but that was about it. More damage than when I shoot them with a 38, but considerably less than I usually do with a shotgun.
Well, killed something with the Grendel

What I want to kill while waiting in the deer stand is a coyote. My dad saw one this past season, but didn't get a shot. I keep hoping one will trot by. Anyway, good eatin' on your rabbit!:: 6.5 GRENDEL Deer and Targets :: 6mmARC Targets and Varmints and Deer :: 22 ARC Varmints and Targets
