    First Suppressor

So, with the new NFA Obama Rules being implemented I decided that for my first suppressor I would go with a .338 can so that I can use it on all of my rifles. In a perfect world, I would be able to afford multiple suppressors.... but this just isn't the case.

I elected to go with an AWC Thor PSR (an all titanium can). I've never used a higher caliber cans on lower caliber rifles, so I'm trying to get a baseline for where my db ratings should be. I understand that they aren't as efficient as caliber specific cans.... but they still work.

Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas as to where my db rating will fall? I'm still expecting it to be quiet enough so as not to need ear pro. That being said, when I'm hunting I don't use ear pro anyways. (even though I probably should).

I will be using this suppressor on my AA 18" 6.5G, and a few 5.56 ARs, and my .308 bolt rifle.

    Thank you for the input!
