Thanks. I will do better next time. This gun will shoot. I'd say as good as my howa but it's not as easy to keep stable on the bench. I can see it being super fun nailing hogs off a shooting stick.

Just curious, what's range's rationale for that?Nebraska Firearms Owners Association. https://nebraskafirearms.org/wp/

Probably idiots that have never shot anything showing up and trying stupid stuff with no ability to even hit the target. They say it is an accuracy issue, no open sights on the 100yd line and no fmj I guess the 50 yd has better barricades overhead to catch stray bullets or ricochets."I rarely give a definite answer" - TG

Hi all! I'm in the early stages of another build with the 12" faxon barrel once it gets here. Does anyone have experience with a Vortex Strike Eagle for the 65G? I see a lot (relatively) of similar optics in these pics. I love mine for my 5.56 but I'm prob going to sell that upper to recoup for this build and I figured I would transfer that optic over.
This build is going to be my go-to hunting rifle with a rugged surge 7.62.
Thanks!

I’ve got a Strike Eagle 1-6 in a Vortex CM-202 mount and I like it. You can go to Vortex web site and enter your ballistic info for selected cartridge in their ballistic App then select the reticle. This will match the reticle to your cartridge of choice where the bullet will strike at each stadia line.
You can even update with your exact location and atmospheric conditions.

This will give you an idea how the app shows the distance for each given line on the reticle.
