  • First AR build

The below is my first foray into the black gun world...and I'm hooked! I definitely learned the hard way about accuracy problems due to an under-torqued barrel nut. I am primarily using Hornady 123 AMAX factory loads and getting 3/4 MOA at 100 yds. An upgraded trigger and side-charging upper/bolt (either LAR or AA) are planned future mods.

20" stainless Alexander Arms barrel, M4 feed ramps, rifle length gas
    A2 flash hider
    YHM gas block/tube
YHM diamond rifle length hand guard
USA Tactical Firearms upper and lower (Statesville, NC)
    DPMS lower parts kit
    Hogue grip
    Magpul PRS stock
    Burris PEPR scope mount
    Leupold VX3 4.5-14x40
