i thought i read that canada had banned the ar-15 and similar weapons in wake of Nova Scotia shooting spree,,,,was that fake news? really like that side charger!

The bolt does not reciprocate, it is just the same as a normal bolt gun. Once the shot is fired you have to manually remove the casing and feed the next one...

then why even have a gas block? just get a nonported barrel

Yes Canada has banned the AR-15 and similar weapons, But the MRA Renegade is not an AR-15. The upper and lower only fit with each other. AR-15 BCG will not fit in the Renegade upper. the only AR-15 component that will work are Barrels, Handguards, Stocks , triggers and magazines pinned to 5 rds.

The Renegade does not use a gas block.... The gas hole is covered...

Yes most AR-15 Barrels are pre-drilled with a gas port, The Renegade comes with a collet to cover this port.
