Update, please. I see in some other threads that you're making some changes in configuration. I'd love an update including weight savings. Are you satisfied with the Sabre barrel?

I definitely did some updating but the concept stayed the same. I replaced both the upper & lower receivers, different buttstock and scope mount.
The upper, I wanted one without the forward assist, bought the Rainier.
The lower, I bought one of the PF Grendel group buy receivers.
Replaced the Larue Mt(6-3/8oz) with the Aero(3-3/8oz).
Replaced the Magpul(11oz) with the Battlelink(5oz).
It's at 6lb 14oz, with the lighter mt and buttstock I was expecting more of a weight reduction but with all the changes it is what it is. Maybe my cheapo scale was off to begin with, anyway it is a sweet shooter I really like how it turned out and how it handles. Next, a camo job.Last edited by 65Whelen; 05-11-2015, 03:00 AM.

It was just this last week I got it all together. Put the LPK in it on Friday and shot it today. The Sabre barrel is great, shooting 129SSTs at 2.260COL with no problems. Five shots, 50yds just under an inch, 14.5 in barrel w/4x scope, works for me.Last edited by 65Whelen; 05-11-2015, 03:09 AM.
