    AR front sight post

    Hey Guys,

I am in need of a little input from anyone that has tried the front post that is a circle with a fine crosshair. I think it would help me center the front post better, and let me be more accurate on target. Any first hand information would be helpful as to overall sight picture and results.

I am coming up empty on other forums!

This goes on a Compass Lake 22lr upper, if that makes any difference.

    Thanks in advance

    RR:

Have tried that style of front sight on several rifles and it is not a good option.

Am not sure what you are shooting but if it is round bullseyes only, use a round aperture that gives you a lot of white around the black bullseye. I have also used the round apertures on targets that were not black dots and as long as you can see the whole target through the front aperture, you will get some success.

That said though, for general purposes with what you have, go with a decent size blade for the front sight.

A company named KNS makes a hooded front sight post with cross hairs.
