  • How much bullet drop?

    AR platform with a 24" barrel 1-8.75 twist. I got factory Hornady 123 Amax and 107gr Lapua scenars from AA. 200 yard ranges are pretty much all I have in my area and have the chance to go to 500 yards today. Anyone have a bullet chart I could take a look at from 300-500 yds?

      If you have chronographed these loads and have accurate speeds you can enter the info into ballistics program. I use Strelok, it a free app on my phone

          With a 200 yard zero try this

          300 = 1 - 1.1 mil
          400 = 2 - 2.2 mil
          500 = 3.2 - 3.5 mil

          That should get you in the ball park

              If you email me the following data, I can give you much more detailed dope...(data from where you shoot)

              velocity
              altitude where you shoot
              barometric pressure
              temperature
              humidity when you zeroed
              height of the center of your scope over the center of your barrel's bore
              bullet weight
              bullet ballistic coefficient
              distance at which you zeroed your rifle

              Typing out the chart for you will take a while, but I note that you are new here, and I want you to feel welcome...so email me the info because I often don't get to gun sites on a regular basis. By emailing it to me, it will both tell me where to send the info, and remind me that you still need it...and welcome to 65Grendel.

                +1 Strelok

                Based on published MV and my current atmospheric conditions, I got this for the 123 AMAX.
