Yes, I seal the gas block to the journal, and the gas tube to the block, so that the system stays closed until it vents as designed from the bolt carrier out of the ejection port from the vent holes.

I don't want there to be gas leakage anywhere near the block or tube.

I have one CProducts and one ASC magazines. Both are for 5 shots.
Initially they only took 4 cartridges. I cut 1 loop out of the bottom of each of the springs, and now both accept 5 cartridges, but....the CProducts works like a charm and the ASC sometimes feeds, sometimes not. I looked at both closely, and definitely there is a difference between the shape and build of the lips.
I also have a 14 cartridge ASC and it feeds well only if loaded with 12 cartridges.
I just ordered one 5 and one 10 cartridges magazine. Both CProducts.
I also order a 25 cartridge magazine branded E-Lander from Alexander Arms. If that one works reliably, I will buy more. Too bad CProducts only carries now 5s and 10s.
Tried to buy the magazines from my preferred site (Precision Firearms), but they only carry ASC

Note: I just read from another post that the E-Landers are very reliable. Cross my fingers.

A question to LRRPF52, how do you seal the gas tube to the block? Would I presume a bit of Locktite around the tube just after the port hole?
        Thanks

Agree with the E-Landers 25 rnds. Excellent performance.
I bought one for testing initially and today I sent for two more (Alexander Arms).
I literally put in the garbage the 14 rnd. ASC mag. I had.
