changing to an adjustable gas block and accuracy

I have a new rifle that is smoking my brass pretty bad, such that after 10-12 rounds, there is a problem with the next round fully chambering. also, that unfired round will not extract without prying it out. my impression is that it is over-gassed and extracting the case too early.

So, my question is, if I put an adjustable gas block on it, will it affect currently developed accurate loads? i.e. will I have to start all over again to find an accurate load?

    thanks for any help.

Shouldn't see a change unless you really go with a heavier or lighter gas block, and then minimal at that.

Do you have an 18" MLGS (Mid Length Gas System) by any chance?

no, it's a 22" bbl, with a rifle length system.

thanks for the answer. I was just wondering that, if by changing the timing of extraction, it would also affect grouping.

I think it could improve things. Less gas will make the bolt move less violently, and give the bullet more time to exit the barrel before the bolt starts moving in the gun.
