So, tell us again why a gas piston system is preferred over the "old fashioned" Direct Impingement system? LOL. I admit that I don't put a lot of rounds through my 5.56 or 6.5 when I am shooting in any session, so the supposedly "cool BCG" and cleanliness "advantages" of a piston system are not a factor to me. I just know that I have never had ejection or cycling problems in my DI ARs no matter what I have run through them (35 gr to 75 gr in the 5.56 and 85 gr to 140 gr in the 6.5, over a range of velocities.) But I have read a ton of threads on here and the AR15 forum about tuning a piston system and it makes my head spin.
My "6.5" = 24" AA Overwatch upper 1/9 twist, NC based US Tactical lower, standard A4 6 position stock, AR Gold Trigger, JPS SCS buffer, Vortex 6-24 x 50 FFP PST with EBR-2C MOA reticle
