Ok. thanks. Am I making a mistake not going 7.5 or 8 twist, to shoot 80gr.

I always go for a tight twist no matter the caliber.

Same here My faster twist barrels shoot the light weights fine and handle the longer pills where as slower twist does not do well with the heavies. I would go with a 1:8 if it were me

FWIW, there is some evidence that monolithic (copper) bullets work better with faster twists. The petals tend to splay out farther and faster, especially at lower velocity.

Well I went to Mason Reamers web site and was impressed. Will be giving them a call after holiday this weekend. Looks like Ive decided 1/8 twist. I have a good supply of 80gr and a few hundred of 75gr bullets
