Help with scope purchase

I have it narrowed down to the vortex viper pst 2.5-10x32 mrad and luepold vx-r 3-9x40 patrol. Is the vortex worth the extra money over the leupold?

What is your intended use? In my opinion they are completely different scopes. Without knowing anything, I would go with the Vortex.

I will be doing some hunting with it but most shooting will be on targets at the range. Will be on an sbr.

Both are good products.
I agree though you are not comparing apples to apples.....

Vortex warranty is second to none..... and I have had many Leupolds in the past.
I do not have the PST but, I have 3 Viper HS-T scopes, the Strike Eagle, a few SpitFires, and a couple Diamondback HPs.

On a SBR.... yea the Viper PST will work dandy.

Hard to beat the Vortex 2.5-10x32 PST for the money. I have one of those and a Leupold 1.25-4x24 VX-R Patrol, if I put both on 4x and pick the clearest view, the Vortex wins every time.

For a smidge more money you can go with the Vortex razor HD LH 2-10x40 .
