Vortex sold all 2,000 of them the first 3 hours when announced...... More are coming.
I got the 6-24x FFP to throw up against my Vortex Viper, Athlon Argos, and Athlon Midas.

Doesn't Vortex make their low end scopes in China and the higher end in Japan?

          Crossfires are Chinese-made
          Diamondback are made in Philippines
Viper scopes are better glass and turrets and made in Philippines.
Razor HD rifle-scopes their top tier are made in Japan.

I guess the internals are a little simpler, being 4x gain vs 5x. But I've been told pst glass and turrets.

Depending on how good it is, could be the new "mid-price" scope to beat...

I just picked up one of these today for my Grendel. Pretty busy at work this week, so probably won’t get it mounted and out to the range until later in the month. Will update then.

I have one mounted up also, have shot it a little but will do more tomorrow I hope, if time allows. Initial impressions is the glass is good, kind of like the viper HST 4-16 I have on one of my creeds...
Need more time behind it however.

Got my scope mounted today. I bought the Vortex Precision 2-piece mounts. As I hope you can see(depending how the pic uploads), the front mount bridges the scope between the top of the receiver and the first lug of the hand guard. Question: am I setting myself up for trouble by bridging this way? With the forward mount atop the receiver, I seemed to run out of forward slide, to provide eye relief. Should I be buying a cantaleiver mount instead? I guess that’s 2 questions, but I’m counting on y’all to indulge me this extra question.

                          this is IMO...
                          but, yes.
                          And, use cantilever.

I would use a one piece cantilever scope mount. For a less expensive one piece mount I’ve been impressed by the Warne. I have a 0 cant and a couple of 20 MOA mounts. Warne has 20 MOA one piece mounts in 1” and 30 mm.
