Got one and it is a good stock, but my preference has turned to the Magpul SL and SL-S. If you don't need storage the SL is an awesome, rock solid, lightweight and affordable option with a quick detach. 2.9 oz. lighter than the Acs-l if You're counting.

The cheek weld is a little slimmer on the sl, the sl-s is comparable to the acs-l.If cheek weld is of major importance you can't go wrong with the acs-l or sl-s.

I’m not sure if a better stock (better cheek well) would be beneficial for hunting. I never used one with a different style stock.

I have the SL-S on a 223, I have no need for storage but chose it over the SL because the storage areas made for a better cheek weld

I run the STR, with a high powered scope it’s a better cheek weld. The ACR (not light) version has the same profile. It’s wider, like an M4 stock with a CAA saddle.

Are you wondering if it's higher or wider? I have an ACS-L I've been using for the last few years. There's no height build in, meaning it's no higher than any other stock. It is comfortably wide though. Very similar to my Magpul MOE rifle stock.

Not higher I know it is wider just wandering about if it would be better for use with a scope

I enjoy mine. I've found no reason to change it. The rifle it's on has only been scoped.
