    Pretty interesting, how the gas is contained and slowly leaks out like a silent but deadly, seriously though, neat video to watch.

        Bill Alexander described .300 Blackout's main challenges being surrounded by trying to launch a heavy-for-caliber projectile that was meant to be swaged into the rifling with magnum case volume and chamber pressure behind it, but that is now being pushed with a fraction of that propellent weight and lower chamber pressure.

        That could explain why you see propellant bypass the bullet if the bullet didn't fully swage, and/or if propellant slipped past the neck before the projectile could begin movement.

        I suspect the latter might be a more plausible cause for propellant bypass.
