Any thoughts on a mag pouch for a 10 rd mag. I always carry an extra 10 rd when hunting and hate just carrying it in my coat pocket.

Personally I'm partial to esstac kywi's and t-rex arms Mars mag carriers. The Esstac kywi's are awesome because they are made of codora on the outside (with many options of paterns and you can even request custom), and have a kydex piece inside to hold the magazine in. They look great and they hold the magazines very well. I use them all the time for my pistols and rifles. The Mars are made from .125 kydex, so it's super sturdy and you can put whatever attachment method you want on it.

on eBay you can buy 100 rnd dump pouches for about 2 bucks up to 15 with or w/o shipping depending on the vender. They are about 6" x 5" x 3". By skipping the first horizontal MOLLE strap and just threading through the bottom one and snapping the two vertical webbings it fits a wide belt. They come in just about all standard Camo patterns and some venders have brand new ones. Just my $.02, and yes I like to improvise and go the cheap route.

The usgi grenade pouches work very well with 10 round mags!

Are you using this for hunting or just in general?

I would avoid the Velcro closure pouches in a hunting setting for obvious reasons.

I would also avoid any Chinese-made products and companies because their materials are garbage, assembly is garbage, hardware is garbage acetyl, and they are affected by UV very quickly.

Here's an example of some Condor elastic shock cord, never used. Just sat inside a gym bag full of extra gear with zero UV exposure for 3 years maybe. Utter garbage.

If you attach a Ranger plate to the bottom of your 10rd mags, this is a good combo.
