Leupold 3-9 patrol vs 3-9 Freedom AR

I?m liking the Patrol the more I read about it. I noticed the Freedom AR is very similar. One thing is the reticle is slightly different. Does anyone have an opinion about it compared the Patrol?s reticle or is it so similar that it doesn?t matter ? Thanks in advance.

I was looking on Sport Optics and the most significant difference from the description is the Freedom VX has capped turrets. The VX-R patrol doesn’t have a cap on the elevation turret. Sport optics list both Freedom VX and VX-R with the duplex fire dot and TMR mil based fire dot reticle. Both appear to have the same listed length, weight and eye relief. The Freedom VX appears to be a newly released scope. You might call to see if they use the exact same lense.

I meant to ask specifically about the TMR reticle on the Patrol vs the Tri-mil reticle on the Freedom AR. I also notice on Midway's site, the reticles for both the Patrol and Freedom AR are different than the ones listed on Sport Optics site. Tough to make a choice. I guess I need to make calls to everyone including Leupold.
