I have a 12.5 pistol mainly hunting everything here in Texas plus a little med range target shooting. Im looking at the Leupold VX-R Hog 1.25-4x20mm Riflescope, FireDot Pig Plex Illum. Reticle and the Primary Arms SLx6 1-6x24mm SFP Rifle Scope Gen III - Illuminated ACSS-PREDATOR. Anyone have any experience with either? I've never had a Primary Arms but I've had a couple Leupolds and I know and love the clarity of the glass. Theres no place near to me that has a Primary Arms scope.

I have a leupold vxr hog with the pig pled reticle. I really like it for hunting but not so much for target shooting.
You should really look thru a scope vs looking at itLast edited by rabiddawg; 10-29-2019, 02:28 AM.Knowing everthing isnt as important as knowing where to find it.

I have a 1-6x24 Vortex Razor on my 300 BO that I use for hog hunting. It also works well out to 400 yrds. But,it may be out of your price range. My buddy has a Vortex strikeeagle 1-6 illuminated scope he uses for hog hunting.Works great for him,and I see him use it out on the 200 yrd range. It is in the $300 price range and will do what you want. The strike Eagle has decent glass and tracks well.
I also have a budget hog hunting 300 BO rig I keep under the back seat of my truck. It has a 300blk Nikon 2-7x32 scope on it.I have taken many hogs with it.And it is inexpensive enough for me to not worry about getting mud on it.
