    Eotech Vudu 2.5x10x44

Don't know much about these scopes as not many reviews. OP has them on sale for $799 so I ordered one in Mrad.. Anyone have experience with them?

My buddy has the 3-18 vudu on his bench bolt gun and loves it. I looked at the 2.5-10 until i saw the weight of it. Everything else looks nice.

Yes,I noticed it was an ounce heavier than a Viper PST ll 2x10x32. Am hoping glass clarity is better than the Viper, though I have liked the Viper glass good enough. Figure if I don't like it, I can sell and recoup the $800.

I was going to say did you get it yet?, then I realized its Optics Planet. So we can probably expect a range report once everything has thawed out...

Arrived a few days ago, so here's a quick update.
The glass is superb. Did a side by side comparison with 1-6x Razor. At closer ranges, little if any difference in clarity. At intermediate and longer distances, the Eotech is more clear. Was not only obvious to me but to 2 others who compared them side by side. This is the mil reticle going on a hunting rifle. I'm seriously considering buying another with the H59 reticle for this price. A steal imo. Magnification ring is very tight out of the box but already loosening up some. I prefer the mil reticle in the Viper PST ll 2-10x32 but no real concern.
No range time yet, waiting for one of the two mounts I ordered to arrive. The Leupold mount should arrive Monday, no idea when the SPR C.A.N. mount will get here from Larue.. So..., hope to see how turrets track in the next week or so.

I should have added that the comparison between the Razor and Vudu was done at 2.5 to 6x magnification. I'll do a comparison of clarity to the Steiner T5xi tomorrow.

Glad I didn't see this when it originally posted; that saved me $800. I'd say an excellent price on a quality scope.

Got out early pre-dawn hours today to make a low light comparison between the Vudu and T5xi. With a 56mm objective and 34mm tube, the Steiner was expected to outperform the Vudu in low light, as it did. After sunrise, with overcast skies, the difference in clarity between the two was negligible to both myself and my son. Comparing the $2000 price point of the Steiner to the $800 sale price on the Eotech, from our observation you are getting equally good quality glass. Eotech is still on sale at OP when I looked a few minutes ago. The H59 reticle will cost you $100 more at $899.

I've got the 5-25 on my rifle, and occasionally swap it to the pistol for load dev. I can say that it's very good. I can also say for sure that there are other, more buttah 5-25s out there, but none anywhere near the price. I'd have no issue owning a 2-10 Vudu.

Can anyone suggest a trusted source to send a scope out for cerakote? I'm in western Colorado and would prefer a source between here and SLC if possible. I'm open to members that have experience doing riflescopes do the work.
