anyone use a AAC 762-SDN-6 suppressor?

i am considering buying one right away as i see they have a 100 dollar rebate and i like the idea of the quick detach. its for a 30 cal but i have read all the reviews i can find and it works pretty good on any AR style firearm. it seems that the reviews are mixed though, some really really hate them and others like them. my main concern would be the loss of any accuracy. i really dont expect to be hitting golf balls at 400 yards. i would be happy with grapefruits and the occasional apple. anyone have actual real life experience with suppressors on their AR style grendel?

Txgunner and variable I think use supressors, they will chime in eventually. There are others but those are two that come to mind. Your results should be favorable with the SDN6, as I think it was developed for multi-cal use.

I have one. Works great on the grendel and the .308. Only issue I had is when I removed my pinned gas block for a clamp. Removing the pins changed the harmonics because of the weight and lack of support. Put the old pinned block back on and poi is just about the same 1/2" difference low for me @ 100

I have the SDN-6's older brother-- the regular 762-SD. It hasn't seemed to have hurt my accuracy a bit. My POI shifts were smallish, but I don't even remember what they were now frankly. I dialed everything in with the can on, as that's the way I use it when it counts.

The only drama I ever recall about AAC cans was the different tooth counts. The drama lamas worried about the retention spring backing off full tight by half a tooth or so when mounted. That's why AAC went from the 18 tooth to the 51 tooth and even the 90 tooth for some cans now. It has never been an issue for me FWIW. And my cans all use the older 18 tooth mounts....

I have an Alexander Arms 6.5 upper and was wondering about suppressors for it. Didn't know until after I got it that AA uses a different thread style on their barrels. Any suggestions about suppressors and mounting devices that will work with AA 9/16-24 RH barrel thread? I did see that AAC has a muzzle device that uses that thread.

I use a AAC Cyclone (thread on) on my grendel. I like the thread on cans, no extra mounts needed. I love it, it really tames the grendel down. I use it on a 18" Satern barrel that came with 9/16 threads, I have the barrel rethreaded to 1/2-28 for a brake I wanted to use. Now I use a thread adapter and the suppressor with no problems. If anything it helped my groups and I dont see much shift in point of impact. I never shoot it without the suppressor anymore anyway. I do have a friend that used a SDN-6 on his grendel and likes it just as well. My only warning is once you start shooting with a suppressor you wont want to shoot without it. The grendel is very nice to shoot suppressed.
