With most wanting a lighter and stronger hand guard these days, I wonder how these would stack up. I assume more than strong, but I wonder on the weight, which would be my biggest issue since I like a long hand guard. Thanks for posting.....really cool.Comment

You can incorporate lightening cuts into your design to really bring the weight down on these. I know what most of us are thinking right off the bat.
A Grendel logo with helical wrapping of the logo, or something along those lines would be pretty slick. Check these out:
