6.5 Grendel Upper 20" Stainless Steel Barrel - Accuracte Shooter!

6.5 Grendel Upper, 20" Stainless Heavy Barrel, 1:8 Twist, Rifle Length Gas System, 15" MLOK Split Rail

I have two 6.5 Grendel uppers and I need to sell one of them. Both are great and I hate to part with either, but I need to fund future projects, so one of them has to go. This is the more accurate shooter of the two and is a real beauty with the 20"stainless steel barrel.

    Specifications:

    - Complete 6.5 Grendel Forged Upper Assembly with Forward Assist and Dust Cover
    - 20" Stainless Heavy Barrel Profiile
    - Rifle length gas system
    - 1:8 Twist
    - Stainless Steel Flash Hider
    - 15" M-LOK Rail

The Upper includes a 15" MLOK Split Rail with nicely placed holes on either end for QD connector of strap, an M4 flat-top forged upper receiver with forwarding assist, dust cover, and a Stainless Steel Flash Hider. It is chambered in 6.5 Grendel Type II and machined with 300 Blackout feed ramps in the barrel extension.

I accurized the barrel by lapping and bedding barrel with excellent results. Consistently shoots sub MOA with various manufactured ammo. (I used Hornady ELD Match, Hornady American Gunner and Nosler ammo with consistent results. See pics below.)

I shot approximately 100 rounds (just enough to break it in) through this upper with no malfunctions. I did careful barrel break-in removing excess copper for first several rounds shot. No rapid fire with long pause between shots to prevent barrel heating.

Optional BCG and Charging Handle (for additional charge)

Price: $150 with $15 s/h. Venmo, PayPal, Zelle payments accepted.

Above shot at 100 yards. Below were two shots at 400 yards with cold barrel. I just put in ammo, calculated turret settings from previous day's data and shot each of the metal targets. Both covered the small orange center dot painted at center for aiming.

I'm building some new uppers, will accurize, do initial break-in to see how accurate they are and then sell if there is interested. I invested in the tools and will pick up needed components when they have really good sales. The goal is to have affordable yet accurate and reliable Grendel uppers.

I also might sell my upper with the Monster 20" Group Barrel. If there is interest, let me know and I'll make available sooner.

Is there a license requirement for being a firearms manufacturer?

                    No.
                    Hes just assembling parts.
No firearms are being made, just uppers.

s3silver got a great deal on this one. I ended up with some extra parts with BCA exchanges, so I passed the savings on for this first sell. I really didn't want to let this one go since it is so nice looking and shoots so straight. But getting rid of it motivates me to start the next project. I really am enjoying doing this - as time and income allows!

I still have one 6.5 Grendel fully assembled (with Monster barrel) and another one that is almost complete. As I sell one, I'll start the project for the next one.

Received the upper today. Checks out and looks really nice. Can’t wait to see how it shoots. Thanks for the great deal Hollis.

                              Hey Hollis,
Use a thin, light weight barrel, for a hunting rifle, and I'll get one from you.
I don't want to lug around a heavy barrel out here in New Mexico canyon country.
