FWIW, I can't say I really recommend substituting Hornady 95's for VMAX. While the Hornady 95 VMAX is a more "premium" bullet - it's really not. Not as accurate (for me in any gun at any load I've tried), and IMHO terminal performance not as good. A better BC I guess, but who cares? Since a sub 100gr class Grendel bullet is never going to be a 500 yard bullet recommendation by anybody anyway.
I really quite like the Speer 90 TNT's - for any usage short of 300+ yard range (and even then...), they are the bomb. insanely accurate and forgiving to the reloader. Gave me 1/3 MOA in my 6.5 Creedmoor - just wow. And proven track record of wiping out Hogs and such.
If someone's really desperate, I guess we can talk about doing a 1:1 trade for Hornady 123's I guess - if you're willing to pay the shipping both ways. Can't say that's really a great deal and don't really recommend it - but drop me of a note if you're that serious. I suggest just waiting, they'll come back.
Easy mistake to make. I may or may not have ended up with a great deal on SMK 107 HPBT bullets... in 6mm.
The big two ones to be careful with or you can easily get tripped up and order the wrong one:
90 gr TNTs, for both 6.5 mm and 6.8 mm.
107 SMKs, come in both 6mm and 6.5mm
I really wish they'd just do what Berger does, with their 80.5gr bullets. Which is to say, just change it by something in the tenths, and give if a different weight please! Do 90 gr and 90.2 gr for 6.8 or something!
Ah well. I will say, the 90 TNT in 6.8 do amazing in 6.8SPC And the 107 SMK 6mm, can be traded for 107 SMK 6.5's, if ya know enough people who are into both!
