WTB 10/22 receiver

Fixing up an old 10/22 for a buddy. His receiver is cracked. If no one has one sitting around I will get one from brownells.

As far as I am aware ruger won't sell 10/22 receivers, you have to get an after market clone, I built one on a kidd innovations receiver that is a tack driver. But it is quite expensive as in you can buy a whole 10/22 factory rifle for the price of that receiver.

Check out rim fire central forum if someone has a take off receiver there.

I did a google search and the cheapest I found was the brownells with the rail for $89.

Good luck with your quest. After upgrading my old 1022 I had a stock, barrel and other miscellaneous part left over so I thought it'd be great to assemble another beater 1022. I watched auction after auction and sales where barely functional roached out 1022 always went for close to $100 or more. I'm sure there is a receiver or two out there, but I've resigned myself to buying one of the receivers that Brownells sells. It would be tough to beat the $80 price on the non railed version.
