Just signed up for the forum because I'll be building a budget minded AR that I would like to visually appear to be a Mk12 Mod1 rifle but in 6.5 Grendel. My plan is to increase my skill in distance shooting from 200-400 yards while developing hand loads for the caliber. The rifle will be used for hunting here in Colorado and up North in Wyoming.
I currently own several 5.56 ARs and reload in high quantity for those. Going for a higher level of precision will be quite the change from banging out 10,000 rounds of 5.56 each year.
If anyone has suggestions on where I can find 18" barrels that would be good to use in this build with rifle length gas systems and the ability to take a similar Mk12 Mod1 muzzle attachment and ring that would be great help. So far I'm striking out on finding the barrel I want.
Thanks, Fried
