    Hello from Texas

Hey guys, I built a 24" grendel not to long ago to start getting into some long range shooting. I went cheap with the brownells barrel to start with and was getting 3/4" 5 shot groups with hornady 123 black. I'm going to tear it back down again after hunting season and true up the upper receiver. Maybe even bed it but I know that is highly debated as to whether or not it is worth it.

My next build will either be an 8.5" or 10.5" pistol. the plan right no is to put an oss helix on it too. I'm also debating on whether or not to SBR it. I don't know if I will be going out of state with it or not but is it worth the tax and hassle?

Slick looking setup, there is definitely a good amount of Texans here!

I'm originally from Snyder, but I am currently down near College Station (still haven't figured out what it's considered here. South Texas maybe? Central? Idk) Thanks for the welcome guys!

Welcome to the forum and looks like you're off to a great start.

For SBRs if you Form 1, you can always submit your intent to cross state lines paperwork and set the dates from Jan 1 to Dec 31.

It is easier to do a pistol, which also allows carriage of the pistol in your vehicle in many States without having to store the rifle in a separate, locked compartment.
