Hi everyone. I don't have a 6.5 Grendel yet, but the parts for my upper are on their way. I've built a few ARs and realized that there are a lot better caliber options than the 5.56/.223, other than the price of ammo. I started changing it up with 300 Blackout, 6.5 Creedmoore, and then .224 Valkyrie. I had heard of 6.5 Grendel, but didn't know much about it or think much of getting one. For some reason I had it in my head that it was more of a pistol round. Then a friend at work mentioned one and I started looking it up online. I found that it wasn't at all what I thought, and it was probably the best all around caliber for me. Bulk steel case ammo for 25 cents a round, very accurate with match ammo out to 800 yds, and a good hunting round.
Once I get my parts and get the upper built I'll post up my thoughts.
