Greetings from a LONG time Grendel shooter in AL
Been a grendel owner/shooter/reloader for MANY years (Back before it was a SAAMI round) Currently own 2. An AA Overwatch 24" with the Shilen barrel upgrade plus a Burris Signature 6-24x, and a custom Rem 799 "mini-mauser" with a #1 contour Shilen, that is my favorite deer rifle.
Have a video of myself splitting a playing from 100yrds with the overwatch, took 2 shots because I missed a slight puff of wind on the 1st shot.
Typing this instead of being at the loading bench loading a box of 50 of my OW's favorite load (26.0 H4895, AA case, Wolf SR primer and 123gr Hor A-Max at 2.25")
Also going to cook up some test loads with Power Pro 2000MR, and some new Starline cases, plus a few of my pet load to see if the new cases change anything. Average MV is 2375. Not fast, even by grendel standards, HOWEVER, I can deal with the slow speed, for the 0.25" groups this load routinely gives at 100 yards.
