Whats up everyone. Building a grendel AR with 20" BCA upper. Looking forward to contributing and getting some load data . Goal is as accurate as possible with a budget build. Still need a trigger and optic. Hopefully Magpul will release their PRS lite stock soon.

Hey there ClemsonAlum! I got into Grendel with a 24" BCA complete rifle. Don't regret it but I have swapped out the barrel. As ammo components have skyrocketed in price and are almost nonexistent right now, the cost of testing multiple bullets and powders will very quickly cost more than a premium barrel. Yours might be a lucky great shooter but if it's not great right off the bat, a barrel upgrade would make lots of sense.Last edited by Lemonaid; 02-14-2021, 08:51 PM.

Welcome to the clan, CA, from the great nation of Texas! BCA claims to have gotten their act together with the Grendel and some of their other caliber barrels have done quite well. Don't give up until you're reasonably confident that it ain't gonna work. Some of it may just be break-in. With your stated goal being to make an accurate toy, what are you going to do when you get there?

Welcome ClemsonAlum from SC coast. Son just received acceptance letter from Clemson Engineering! I put the 3lb Timney AR Competition trigger in my 20" AR. Worth every dollar. Precision and accuracy improved after installation. Absolutely love it and it was a breeze to install.

Scout175 congrats to him! I majored in Civil Engineering. In my (biased) opinion, best Engineering school (and #1 overall) in the South. Just have to put in the work to get through. I ordered the Timney Impact today from Midway. And it shipped today! Along with Bushnell Engage 6-24 x 50, Weaver canti mount, and other little stuff.-Kurt
