Joined way back in 2019 but this is my first post. 2019 was a crazy year with health issues for my wife and life events. My Grendel interest kind of took a back burner. I joined because of my interest in the 6.5 Grendel and the knowledge and information here. Things have settled down with her health and I am rekindling my interest in the 6.5 Grendel again. Now I have a left handed mini Mauser 7.62x39 I am giving serious consideration to turning into a light switch barrel with barrels in 220 Russian, 6.5 Grendel, 7.62x39 (.308 bore), and 358 Gremlin. I'll need to sell a few safe queens to fund the project but I think it would be a fun way to experiment with all four and have a neat little combo rifle.
We moved from Alaska last September to be closer to family and because the Alaska winters were tough on my wife with her health issues. I miss it a lot but Idaho has a lot to offer. I did draw an extra deer tag this year so I'm excited about that.
