I live in Garland. I'm building a 6.5 Grendel right now (AR) , But was shooting 6.5 WAY before it was cool. I figured out the promise of the 6.5 back in 1971 with a 264 win mag. Boy what a caliber .Varmints to elk., 85gr at 3800-4000fps to 160gr at 3000fps.. The reason I am building the Grendel is because of the vast variety of bullet combinations I have acquired through the years. It was between that ans a 6mm arc as I also shoot a 243 with a load of bullet combos. The Grendel won out.So , a new saga begins.
Thanks for all the "Welcomes"

Awesome! We're just around the corner from you in McKinney. DNS is about an hour west of us, Kmon is just a few minutes south of you and the list goes on. We may have crossed tracks out at the Garland gun range at some point, used to hang out a lot there. To re-state L....2, if you don't have copies of the Grendel Handbook, they cannot be recommended enough.
