Hello, I am a new member from Wisconsin and am building my first 6.5 Grendel. I am sure that I will have lots of questions but I already found lots of helpful posts.
I want to build an all around rifle. I was looking at barrel length and I think that an 16-18" will suffice for ranges but I want to have a scope and backup iron sights on it. All the hand guards I have seen have no sights in the front. Are there parts I could add to attach a front sight?
Welcome Lexx. Expecting a package in here from Wisconsin (Watertown area) on Fri or Sat with the parts to finish my Grendel. Take your time and listen to those that give you recommendations on here. A number of them have near 50 yrs of AR experience and were in on the ground floor when the Grendel came about, to include the father of the Grendel, Bill Alexander.

If your hand guard has a top rail you have many choices for back up sights. Here are two of my scoped rifles with back up sights.
