Walmart forbids Managers from odering Ammunition or AR style rifles

Last night i came across an article on thedailysheeple.com Report: Walmart forbids store managers from ordering more ammuntion and I thought (surely somebody's being a little paranoid) then this morning I hear Sen Schmuck Schumer on a newsclip this morning where he asked several retailers (Wal Mart being the 1st) to refrain from selling any ammo or Modern Sport rifles until after Congress makes ther decison. WTF? F**K Schumer and F**k Wal mart if they concede to these Commie Liberal Pukes! Not another dime of my money will they get!

Why would they want to stock up on a product that they potentially couldn't sell?

I use to agree with you given that you're looking at it from the view of a Capitlist Company but there is no law yet, as a matter of fact Wal Mart could unload it as they recieve it on a daily basis. I guess they dont remember all the demogoging that the administration did against them. All i can say is "Hell no I wont forget who and what which Commies did what."

I called WalMart Corporate today and let them know that if they stop ordering ammo based upon potential legislation and/or politicians requests, I would no longer shop at WalMart.

Their number is 1-800-925-6278. They were busy...try an email if the wait is too long.

WalMart is the only store in my town that does sell ammo. If they stop selling ammo, a lot of my redneck buddies are gonna have drive 90 miles into the big cities to find ammo. They will probably want to stock up a lot so as not to have to make lots of trips. ...But...if the amount of ammo you can buy gets limited they will probably have to make do; with whatever they can remember from 6 years of college chemistry. (Redneck making their own primers and powder is a scary/funny thought) Hmmm...the more you think about messing with the Bill of Rights, the more the Law of Unintended Consequences starts rearing it ugly head.

Since pretty much every single anti-gun thing I've read about Walmart has been incorrect to date, I'll not believe this one either until I see it confirmed in direct quotes from reputable sources.

I know some people hate Walmart, but the amount of misinformation I've seen slung at them is staggering. I'm interested in facts only, and the odds have favored Wallyworld being pro-gun so far.

I'll check locally (yet again) when I get a chance.

I've heard first hand from 2 different dept mgrs that their system will no longer allow ammunition orders. I've read of similar situations all around the country but now Walmart Corporate is denying that they are no longer ordering ammunition. http://www.wnd.com/2013/01/walmart-r...ed-ammo-story/

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

                      Variable,

When I called corporate they confirmed they were considering this but had not made a final decision. They were taking inputs from their customers. I gave them my input.

Basically I told the rep what I had heard (on radio and online news), and if true, then I would be withholding my business from WalMart until such time they re-instituted orders.

What I had heard was they were no longer placing any more orders to replenish ammunition stock. They would continue to sell the ammo they had on hand, but would not place further orders until resolution of the executive orders and legislation.

It was a pleasant conversation. No need to be rude. Sugar will get you farther than acid...

It's not just Walmart. My local store will not take orders for ammo or firearms. You can only buy what is in inventory.

Just heard on the radio that walmart is going to hire any veteran that wants a job and has set aside 50 billion for buying American made products. We ought to tell them that ammo and ARs are made in the USA with the exception of Tula.

I don't care who they hire...if they play ball with Obama and Dems, then I'm not shopping there ever again. I won't be bribed.
