Mule Deer Ranging & Holdover (MRAD)

Worked these up to help with visualization before hunting season and figured someone else may find them useful.
    Based on 23" body size.

It would be helpful to know the specifics that were used to produce that result. At the bare minimum, cartridge and barrel length. Perhaps muzzle velocity, ballistic coefficient, altitude, scope height.

Ballistics were figured for factory Hornady SST @ 2500 fps - 5000' elevation. Was surprised to notice that out to 300 yards with the belly of the deer at 2 mils the holdover worked itself out nicely, made up another set of images for a friends rifle using a Vortex reticle with hash marks every 2 MOA using the same load data. These holds work well for my 308 shooting 178gr ELD-X @ 2640 as well. With a flatter shooting cartridge the same hold would likely work to even greater distances.

After a bit more work on it I checked holds using a 200 yard zero to flatten it out referencing the belly @ 8 MOA or 2 Mils made for a good hold out to 350 yards with the SST @ 2500 fps - 5,000 ft elev.
