I have a 18 inch fluted Sabre barrel. It is threaded in 9/16x24. Could a gunsmith turn it down to 1/2x28 without cutting the barrel back. I want to put an AAC device on it for QD suppressor. I see they make a 30 caliber one with 1/2x28. I can not shorten the barrel because of the flutes. Let me know what you guys think?
