Have you looked at any cartridges based on the 25 Remington or 30 Remington for your "AR12"?
You could have, in effect, a stretched 6.8 SPC necked to 65 mm and still run through the magazine well.
Yeah, I know it doesn't show loyalty to the Grendel, but this debate sucks. Too many people want the 'new' cartridge to do everything. Yet few really pay attention to wound ballistics and barrier defeat.
So, looking at some of the alternatives helps. If you are interested, I could run a QuickLoad analysis on one more long 6.5 alternatives to see what the paper results might be. That could help in deciding whether the project has a chance of producing interesting results.
