Greetings!
I have been involved in the shooting sports for over 4 decades. If it has a loud handle I'm into it! I managed a gun shop for 15 years. Because of the industry connections I met and/or had drinks with many VIP's. Among those, Carlos Hathcock, Col. Oliver North, Genl. Arnold Schwartzkoff, Bill Ruger, Val Forgett, Jim Bell. Attended Colt, S&W and John Farnham's traveling circus police schools. Built my first AR-15 in 1980. Me and my Pards were of the first competitors to cut off the AR carry handle and mount a scope for 600 yard sniper matches. I Shot NRA service rifle for years. (I met Hathcock at Camp Perry.) IHMSA competitor in the early years. After reading what Bill Alexander was developing, I was sold on the cartridge. I firmly believe that the special forces are still making a mistake with the 6.8 SPC. The cartridge is a short .270 and is too heavy and under powered for exceptional performance.
