Looking at the .35 Remington's SAAMI working pressure, I see that its MAP is 33,500psi for the first decade of the 20th Century actions like the Remington Model 8 semi-auto rifle.
With the Hornady 200gr FTX and its advertised .300 BC, at 2050fps you would get:

50 1923fps 1642ft-lbs
100 1801fps 1441ft-lbs
150 1685fps 1261ft-lbs
200 1575fps 1102ft-lbs
Looks like a 150yd zero would work best, putting you 1.8" high at 100yds, and 4.8" low at 200yds.
A 16" 6.5 Grendel with 123gr SST passes it for energy at 175yds.
If you push the 200g FTX to 2100fps, then you will exceed 123gr SST ballistics to 200yds, but 123gr SST will pass it by 225yds.
If you have boxes of .357" pistol bullets for plinking, that could make it fun provided you have the brass to support that.
For me it would have to be on the TC line of single shot rifle's. Louisiana game rules for pritive season- exposed hammer and must be break action single shot.
I have a 35 wheelen rossi rifle now that is short and super light weight but that thing is snake bit and kicks like a mule.
I figure for short range work 100 or less the 35 grendel would be bout perfect for my primitive gun season needs. Still have a lil thump but not nearly as bad as the wheelen.
Already have plenty of grendel brass and cci 450 primers. Wonder if leverevolution powder would be a good powder to run it?
Was thinking of calling Redding monday and see if they could do me a custom neck sixer die and bullet seater die for it.
